Measuring Your Mattress Depth
Measure the height of your mattress from the bottom to the top. Add at least 2 inches to account for mattress toppers or pads. Standard sheets often slip off mattresses deeper than 12 inches. Deep pocket sheets, like the CGK Unlimited, accommodate up to 18 inches. This ensures a snug fit without constant readjustment.
Adjustable Beds and Sheet Fit
Adjustable beds bend and raise sections of the mattress. Sheets must stretch without bunching or tearing. The CGK Unlimited sheets have elastic all around the fitted sheet. Owners report they stay in place even when the bed is elevated. The microfiber fabric provides some stretch. This makes them a practical choice for adjustable bases.
Fabric Considerations for Comfort
Microfiber is a synthetic material known for softness and affordability. It is also wrinkle-resistant and dries quickly. However, it may not be as breathable as natural fibers like cotton. Some sleepers find microfiber traps heat. If you sleep hot, consider a cotton alternative. But for most, the CGK sheets offer a comfortable balance.
Caring for Your Sheets
Proper care extends the life of your sheets. Wash them in cold water on a gentle cycle. Avoid using bleach or fabric softeners, which can break down fibers. Tumble dry on low or hang to dry. Over-drying can cause shrinkage and pilling. Following these steps helps maintain the fabric's softness and fit.
